A graduate of Commerce from Pune, he is a young man with an incredible visionary outlook helping him shoulder responsibilities as Secretary, Sponge Iron Association, Raipur. He heads the organization with – professionalism, dynamism and high ethical values. He successfully led the Company through some of its most challenging times, and enabled it to emerge stronger each time. His broad global perspective has seen the Company expand its horizons beyond domestic borders, and position itself to become a global player. Its contribution to the development of indigenous engineering capabilities and, for its inherent professionalism and value systems. He was responsible for the formation of the Employees’ Foundation/Trust to strengthen the employees’ sense of belonging and to enable Baldev Group retain its identity and unique character.
Kamal Somani -- Board Of Director
A graduate of Commerce, he has been the given the command over many important divisions of Baldev Group i.e. Baldev Alloys Crusher division at Jagdalpur also with trading activities of Iron fines to the overseas market. As a whole time director on the board, he is involved in policies and strategy formulation, projecting Baldev Group capabilities to external stakeholders, business community and society, liaison with Government agencies at Ministerial level for policies affecting Baldev Group. He is constantly focused on process improvement for improving the productivity of all operations in Energy, Crushing & other divisions. As a part of the Process Improvement, on the foundation of TQM, he has implemented many path-breaking ideas. The SAP R3 Enterprise Resource Planning Implementation, which he spearheaded, became a reference for SAP Worldwide in 2006. His role in popularizing Value Engineering, as a cost saving tool, is noteworthy. He has also laid emphasis on statistical process control leading to Six Sigma practices as a mean to reduce errors and rework.
Jeetendra Somani -- Board Of Director
A graduate of Commerce from Bhubaneswar, he has been given the responsibilities of Baldev Alloys Unit 1 at Raipur and is also Secretary of Raipur Round Table. Mr. Somani was instrumental in growing the business. Mr. Somani was responsible for driving an aggressive three-pronged strategy to increase efficiency, effectiveness, and technology transformation. Furthermore, under Mr. Somani’s leadership, the Personal Devices Business experienced tremendous growth and stability with improved engineering and quality performance while successfully shipping a vast number of Platform 2000 products.
Manish Somani -- Board Of Director
A young 26 years of B. Com graduate, He belongs to reputed Somani family from Jagdalpur. His father late Shri Nandlalji Somani was a visionary businessman and has laid the foundation of Somani group during his stay in Malkangiri. He is focused towards new product developments and intellectual property. A world class New Product Development process for all the business under him is in place. He believes sustainable growth can be achieved only if intellectual property is continuously built. Number of patents filed, design registrations applied have multiplied under his stewardship. Mr. Manish is a true visionary, his mind embraces the future and his world knows no boundary. He is widely traveled and has diverse interests including reading. He is fitness freak. He is simple, soft spoken & unassuming but strong, demanding & result oriented person.
Shyam Somani -- Chairman
Son of Late Shri Lalchand Somani, he belongs to the well known Somani group of Jagdalpur. Somani’s are the leading players in Rice Industries and trading of forest produce at Jagdalpur. Their combined turnover in Rice & forest produce business is more than Rs. 25Crs. They also have a presence in real estate business. Further they have ventured in cold storage business and are having three cold storages including two cold storages under joint venture with Kapoor group. Somani’s with Kapoor’s, visualizing the robust potential in steel industry jointly promoted Baldev Alloys Pvt. Ltd in 2004.

Sanjeev Kapoor -- Chairman
Aged 35 years and a commerce graduate, Shri Sanjeev Kapoor is a prominent personality working in association with Shri Rajeev Kapoor in cold storages, petrol pump, real estate and Government Civil contracts and also advocating his services in sponge iron unit in Raipur.
Not adhering to becoming only a man of serious interests, Shri Sanjeev Kapoor has also been active in various organizations.
